X-Men: Days of Future Past - Trailer

From the trailer it does look like Wolverine is the main character. Maybe they should just start titling them, Wolverine and the X-men.

Just saw the trailer and I was going to say that: another Wolverine movie.

I'm not complaining, Hugh Jackman is nothing but watchable in any role. And holy shit, Ellen Page, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellan. I also heard Sentinels? No idea how this timeline thing works with what happened in the third movie.

In the comic books, animated series, video games - Wolverine does tend to be one of the most important characters.

I gotta say...after all of the build up, this first trailer leaves me...very distant.

Despite the dramatic music and the historic cut-scenes, I'm left feeling rather wanting.

I've seen 5 new releases in the last 2 weeks, so I can certainly be counted as a "theater-goer"...but this trailer leaves me very nonplussed.

Just watched the trailer. Immediately recognized the Hans Zimmer music from "The Thin Red Line."

Man this movie looks awesome. I know X-3 was mediocre, but First Class was really good. Also, what appeals to me the most is how the two movies are merging into one essentially (like Avengers).

Finally watched the trailer and I am proceeding with caution for my excitement. The director has had some amazing movies (The Usual Suspects), but the first X-Men had an all star cast that should have carried it.

I do think Fassbender is perfect for the role of Magnus. I hope they show a bit of his life in this one (wife and child).

I hope they give most the screen time to the First Class + Wolverine combo.

Just make this a swan song to the older actors. 30 minutes and you're outta here, retired. Something to spice up this as a First Class sequel.

And give us Apocalypse at the end. Cause they need to lead towards something epic.

I wonder if DOFP will start out with
the end of X3 teaser scene with Moira and Xavier's voice.

Patrick Stewart is awesome, but didn't Prof X switch bodies at the end of X3? Didn't see The Wolverine, did they address it in that?

possibly. the after-credit bit of X3 with Xavier inhabiting that body, and the final scene in Wolverine showing that Xavier was back in his original body, and Magneto has his powers back (also shown at the end of X3) suggests both events were possible, and that some time certainly passed between them. Hopefully, they can explain it away in less than 2 or 3 minutes, or the story would get too bogged down in typical X-Men psycho babble.

Bishop is shown in that trailer, so there will be future, present and past of course. I wonder if this means that Gambit will be involved? Problem there--just way too many characters introduced (yeah, he was sorta in Wolverine, but...blech)
