x files season finale question (spoiler)...

I don't understand the X-files anymore. I liked the old ones but these new ones are just wierd. Like I thought moulder was dead, or an alien or something? But now he's on every episode. There also seems to be no point anymore. Maybe it's just because I missed almost this whole season.

I like all the old ones though.
 
Mulder was buried for 3 months before they dug him up and found out that he was really infected with some sort of alien virus. The first part of the season ws spent searching for him after he was abductd, and after he was cured, was in every episode.
 
Can anyone fill me in. What happened this season? Is Mulder really dead? What else important happened? Thanks!
 
of course you dont understand them you have to watch every single one. actually i thought the new ones made more sense than the old ones.
