X-Fi Xtreme Audio - NOT X-FI COMPATIBLE!

I feel gypped. Even though I only spent $5 for it at a used computer hardware store, it's still not right. It doesn't contain the X-Fi chip that its name bears, rather the older SB Live chip. Wiki quote below.

Xtreme Audio Oct '06 104 dB PCI CA0106 - - - optional Low profile card. Does not use the EMU20K1 chipset used in the rest of the series but an old one used in the Audigy SE, Audigy Value and SB Live! 24-bit. It also has Crystallizer and CMSS-3D.

The only advantage that I see above my old Audigy 2 ZS is that is has a font panel connector, which I really like having. 24-bit/96KHz sound is great, but I still feel like Creative dropped the ball on this.

Just be thankful, that you aren't using your PC speaker for music, driven by the programmable ISA interrupt timer, using PWM.
