The remote is weird. If you dive into C:\Program Files\Creative\Sound Blaster X-Fi\Entertainment Center\KeyMap, you can see that there are a bunch of map files that help translate remote key codes into their appropriate key codes for other applications.
I've yet to figure out how the software utilizes this and I believe that support for other applications is limited at best. The software supposedly uses Windows Key Codes to do the interface.
All I know is that there's a plugin for winamp to utilize these remotes since they just send in MIDI data, so the plugin interprets that instead of wasting time with Creative's software.
umm, for audigy 2 zs i can use a little freeware called intelliremote (www.melloware.com) but i don't know will it work with x-fi. With this program, my audigy2 remote (model RM-1500) can be used and configured just like media button (play, pause, stop, next, etc) on logitech keyboard. BTW, you'll also need microsoft intellitype pro software from microsoft site (no, u don't need to have the microsoft keyboard, it'll work just fine with any keyboard, but i don't know if it'll cause problem with your logitech keyboard software) for this program to work.
