X client for windows?

I've been reading up a bit on X and it seems like a neat concept. Basically like Citrix. I'd like to play with this at home. I have been unable to find a client for Windows though, other than pay ones. Anyone know of one that is free?

At work we use Exceed for a few of our apps, I'm guessing they are simply apps running in a X session.

X-Win32. (corporate license). Essentially since the server to which I'm connecting is in Curacao, and I'm in Fort Lauderdale (though we own the fiber ring its still only about a megabit most days that we get to use) - it's terribly slow running locally.

I'm on a macbook pro. So I RDC into a Curacao Windows Desktop - Then puTTY and X-Win32 connect to the application server.

Next gen of this application uses VNC which works spades better.

You want an X server, each X app is an X client. There are a number of free ones, cygwin even comes with one. The thing is that X is a very chatty protocol so it's much higher latency than ICA or RDP.
