x-box: what if you don't want the bundle?

I don't expect anyone to have the thing for sale in its plain vanilla ($300) form after its shipped to stores. They'll all probably be gone because of the preorder bundles. So how do you expect to get an x-box after its release?

Well... I'll prolly just run my PC since it's based on the same hardware, and I'm guessing game porting or Emulating is going to be a joke and also I think the whole reason behind the X-box is to get people to program for the X-86

I went to EB today to see about the presell... $499 guarantees (1) X-BOX (3) Games (1) "add on component"

ugh... no thanks.. i don't like most of the release time games except 1 or 2... not enough to spend $500 on sight unseen/review unread.

Exactly what I was thinking. If you preorder, you're spending the same amount of money for 2 consoles...
