My friend just yesterday ggot an X-Box....pretty cool little console..anyhow...it booted up fine..we rented Dave Mirra2. after playing it for awhile it started to freeze up for a second every now and then. he had a gamecube and it had slow downs in cettain parts of the game but the xbox seems to just freeze for a split second every now and then..is this normal or should he take it back and exchange it for a new one?
if anyone can help let me know!

chris

PS-please no "you shoulda got a psx2" or "consoles suck" or microsoftt sucks" posts ;)

Sounds normal.

A lot of games rushed for launch day or the holiday season tend to be released un-polished.

Okay...this one was just too hard to resist replying to.

Please remember the fact that the Xbox is a product from Microsoft and when did they EVER come out with a product which DOESN'T have problems?

They are sorta known for that.

Edit: sorry...didn't see your PS....but it's still was too hard to resist bashing them.

Try a different copy of the game. If other games are fine, then thats most likly it.

Alot of games have "hiccups" in them for loading different levels/courses while it caches to the HD.
