x-box or ps2

Heck, try the PS2. If you don't like it, you can sell it very easily.

I love my PS2. I was going to sell it, but I am hooked now. I can't wait until:

1. They start releasing some new games.

2. They can get their manufacturing problems down, and crank out some more PS2's. That will encourage more games to come out. More people that own a PS2 equals more money the game companies can make.


Right now on paper the XBox sounds great, but I will wait and see first where they are going with it. It can't be any worse than gaming on Windows now, can it? 😉
 
get a PS2 , some of the games may bad but me and my buddies have been having fun playing Tekken Tag and TimeSplitters since the launch.
 
so far, xbox pumps out great looking graphics (according to ms), and if this is true in 9 months and they have a great library of game, i'm in for some xbox! ps2's not bad, but it's already somewhat crippled by memory bandwidth problem. gamecube's graphics are not looking too chubby either, although it won't play dvd or have digital output...what a shame....🙁
 
X-Box will be the death of the American gaming industry. When there are 2,000 crappy titles for the X-Box (Direct X ports) in 2002 it will be just like the Atari crash of '84.

I can't wait for all the "Deer Hunting" and "Big Bass Fishing" ports. Yea.
 
I'd say wait until all 3(PS2, XBox, and Gamecube) are out, see which is best. I think the Gamecube will have the best graphics, and the XBox to have the most developer support, but I see the PS2 having the largest amount of end-user support.
 
By the time the other gaming systems come out you should have saved/earned enough money to buy the latest and greatest.
The xbox graphics capability will kill ps2's. But do you want to wait all that time?
And how can you ever count out nintendo?

Wait for the x-box and the Cube. Post this question again in 9 months... so we can give you a better answer. 😉

Keep saving... you'll have enough money to buy both systems in 9 months (unless you're collecting pennies 😉).
