Hmmm... I wonder why that could be?

Hmmm... don't know. I've not heard of someone doing that yet. I do stream music and videos from my PC to my home theater via the XBOX... but I just stream through a standard crossover cable.

[edit] Well, I guess I have heard of someone doing that now :)

Does it need to be modded to do this? Or is it just plug and play?

How's the interface?

Its been rumored for a while that the PS2 can have a HD upgrade. But i dont know if they`re available for sale yet.

The Linux set (HD, Keyboard, mouse) went on sale probably a year or so ago. It was about $300 IIRC. However, outside of that, the HD for the PS2 isn't available in the US. It has also been stated that the HD with the Linux package is not compatable with games and wouldn't be the same setup as the HD released for gaming.

Another thing, Sony was the only person selling the Linux kits. You had to order directly from them.

There's a couple up on eBay right now ;)

No, but you could just plug it into a wireless bridge... I haven't tried it myself, but I believe you can then stream MP3's and videos using the latest version of XBMP.

the xbox needs to be modded off course but an ethernet bridge is plug an play. It connects to any ethernet device.

I have a linksys WET11

for the xbox ethernet port (or any ethernet ready device) a bridge is totally transparant. It works without any problems (even with WEP encryption)

Everything but the larger HD sounds like a waste of money to me.

I have yet to have a framerate problem with mine.

BTW people will bite your head off if you dont read the tutorials first which are very complete

The "debunking" was there becuase some ppl here didnt belive me, and so i "tryed" to correct them, followed by which, someone kindly provided links to the information, to back up my "arguement"
BTW, if you or anyone else thinks ^ is a flame you're far too sensitive. It's just the internet, don't take everything so seriously
This coming from a n00b? lol. Just joking.
Seriously though. Alot of us here are fed up with various flames about various things, and can spot the beggining of a flame before it kicks off. And so try to "resolve the situation" before it gets serious.
