This joystick is just coming out this December and you get it for $50 cheaper if you order before Dec. 10th. It won't get outdated because you can buy an adapter for any of the major gaming systems out. I pre-ordered one a couple of months back. I know its expensive but Mas sells theirs for about $94 plus shipping and it is only one player. This thing comes pc ready also. The price will say $199 but it will be $149 when you add it to your basket.

PS- I forgot to tell ya that you can add 1 game system adapter at no cost. So you get pc adapter and 1 game system of your choice adapter for $149.

I've never seen or heard of these before.. Does anyone know if they're quality? I've owned a pair of HotRod joysticks and those were about $200 but worth near every penny. The button layout was perfect for Capcom and SNK fighting games plus just about everything else.. It made for a beautiful MAME machine.

This thing looks promising.

I'm looking into buying a stick like this but it's a bit pricey. For dreamcast owner, anyone using a single controller stick like.....Agetec or similar one? Can we just get two of these and play in 2 person mode? that would shave out at least $50

Siamskunk,
I have the agetech and it is nice. The problem is when you go and buy a new system like ps2 or xbox. With the x-arcade you can just buy the adapter and your in business.

As someone who used to work in the arcade industry, I can tell you that this looks like a pretty standard video game control panel setup. The only thing different would be the way the wiring harness attaches to the computer. 150 bucks???? The joysticks cost about 10 bucks each, the buttons about a dollar each...and the panel itself probably another 20 bucks. So you are paying 150 bucks for 60 dollar's worth of parts.

Not a thread crapper...if you do not have the savvy to build one yourself. And the thing will wear like iron; those cheapass controllers you get with an x box will not take one tenth the abuse.

Go to your local amusement machine dealer and ask for them to provide you with the same thing...or better, build one yourself.
