Internet hunting, also referred to as cyber hunting, allows a person to log onto a Web site and shoot animals with a remote-controlled rifle attached to a Web cam.

LOL, I never heard of Internet hunting before.

Or warfare?

Put a bunch of robotic machine guns up in Iraq and all these geeks playing FPS can pay to cut down on insurgents. 😉

Seems as if the Senator agrees:

Sen. Charles Townsend, R-Osage, spoke in favor of the bill.

"It's absolutely despicable to have a remote gun, unless we were able to send the gun to Iraq or something like that,"

Basically saying

"It's absolutely despicable to have a remote gun, unless we were able to use the gun to shoot humans or something like that,"

Gotta love human nature.

Don't we use this type of thing in this military? If its good enough for the military, its good enough for the common civilian.

what? ok..thats just sick.

It is my god-given right as an American to wield a firearm controlled by a website with a remotely actuated trigger, damnit. If we give this up, what's next?

Same reaction I had. Why is not okay for animals, but it would be okay to shoot human beings that are obviously no threat to you?

I remember hearing about this, I can't believe it's actually still happening. 😱 Glad they'll be putting an end to it. I've never been into killing animals myself, but if you're going to go hunting, at least physically go and confront the animal. like seriously.

It's really just one step below Dick Cheney and his half-soused posse being driven out to a field and having them release a flock of game birds, imho.
