wy doesnt HL2 have that heat haze effect?

i jus noticed.....fire doesnt have any heat haze effects and id also like to see heat haze off that crossbow gun that fires thos "hot rods"

bit disapointed they never put this is anyone else?

The game uses the effect in certain places... while in the Nova Prospekt prison, a gas fire erupts in the kitchen, and you can definitely see the heat haze.

Also in ravenfolk you get a similar effect with the gas jets.

I havn't seen any heat haze, but I think there's a similar effect when you're underwater and you see shots whizzing by you?

There are definitely two parts in Ravenholm where the effect is visible. Both times it is where you turn on those gas mains to burn the zombies.

yeah the gas jets do...but actually fire doesnt, and again i would like to see that corssbow have that effect too....its glowing rod man!

I think the places you see it, you are seeing the gas, not a heat haze.

Clearly the game was rushed to market. What a piece of junk 😉 😛 .

Not sure what to comment about the heat haze, but if there's one distinct disadvantage of this engine, it's fire. Fire is the only thing that looks horrid in this game IMO. But I can live past it 😀.
