If you are at all interested in some fresh views on the factual reality of the universe, go see this movie. It is brilliant discourse on how we create our realities and experiences every moment based on our beliefs and/or thought patterns. It goes into how we have control at all times and that we as human beings have the creative abilities to manifest outcomes to situations when proper intent is in place.

There are many subtopics including how we are addicted to emotions and how our bodies react to negative thought patterns, etc...

If you have an open mind and wish to learn more, I suggest you give it a look. Thanks for your time.

Haterz, sip on some hateraid, cuz I ain't mad at ya. Peace.

Go see this movie.

Now.

This is the field that my mom is getting her PhD in at JFK University. I may just follow in her footsteps. ;) So incredibly interesting and .. groundbreaking.

I guarentee that you will leave this movie both with a new outlook on life and wanting more.

Unless you're too stupid to understand it.. :p

this movie sounds interesting. the only bad thing i seem to have gathered so far is that it has interviews with real scientists right alongside interviews with new age gurus to make it seem as though they are talking about the same thing to further their points. I recommend paying attention to who says what in the film, other than that it looks good and I plan to see it when it comes to Richmond on Oct 8.

It's also a good idea to follow up and do research on anything new that piques one's interest. I had done alot of research prior to seeing this movie, so after seeing it I just came away with a warm fuzzy knowing that I'm on the right track.

My mom however was blown away. She was crying at the end and came away with many questions. She is now following up on many of the ideas in the film and has been asking me questions.

I have been studying quantum physics and consciousness for 3 years now and this movie gave me much hope in that the mainstream public is now finally gaining access and exposure to some enlightened material.

MustISO, about the DVD, I have no idea when it's coming out, but I'm sure they'll be releasing one. I envision viewing parties and full blown discussion afterwards with friends. I can't wait till it's released. Shoot, I may see it again in theaters just so that I can drag my dad or some friends out to see it.

Anyway, I must go to work. Take care all. And you are right TheShiz, one of the new age gurus came across a little strong in the film. But take of it as you will. There is much information in it for everyone.

Wow (D'oh) ... sounds incredibly like the messages of the spiritual masters. How novel.

I saw this movie last night. I have never, ever been so disappointed in my life.

The movie has nothing to do with quantum mechanics. It merely uses the word dozens of times, but never actually explains it in relation to the rest of the movie. I really think that it is there for a buzzword. About 1/3 the way in you never hear it again, until the last ten minutes or so. Even then, it never actually brings anything to the table. It's a bunch of outlandish claims without even the most simple or trivial of explanations.

The movie offers no more insight into life than you can't get for ten bucks worth of weed. Serioously, this movie is not that 'deep.' It deals with preceptions of reality which is not exactly a new, modern topic. It makes all sorts of outlandish claims and never even once ties it to quantum physics and never explains, or even attempts to answer, the 'how' and 'why' of anything it rambles about.

It ties in a really f!scking annoying plotline into what should have been a documentary. Instead, it was neither. There was no documentation nor exploration of new topics, and it wasn't a documentary. And the plot was arguably the most annoying I have ever seen in my entire life. I really, really wanted to leave 30 minutes into it, but I didn't in some (vain) hope it would redeem itself. This is really an incredibly disappointing movie. It could have gone very well but it just flirted with so many ideas and then flirted with exceedingly useless ideas as the time went on.

EDIT: Seeing as how I have taken a modern physics course, I would have liked to see even the most basic of substantiation of even their most trivial claims. I really wish they had done away with the plotline and explaiend their rationale instead. It's not like I'm uneducated either, so don't start on the 'you're too dumb to understand it' rant.

EDIT2: Seems like I'm not the only one annoyed wiith it. 39% at RT: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/what_the__do_we_know/

Also, it rehashed the same ideas over and over. It never moved on - another big complaint of mine

sounds like you should have downed some more beers before the film. this movie has vastly mixed reviews, so I think i'll go check it out, at worst I should at least get some laughs from a crappy film.

This movie is crap, a hoax, based on bad science and has been thoroughly debunked.

Roger Ebert's Answer Man tells all

Q. While the film "What the #$*! Do We Know!?" parades itself as a tell-all about quantum physics, it turns out that it's actually a 111-minute infomercial for ... that's right, the Ramtha School of Enlightenment. In fact, the three filmmakers, [William] Arntz, [Betsy] Chasse and [Mark] Vicente, are all devotees of Ramtha.

There's little to no accurate science in the film, and, as a physicist pointed out recently in your Answer Man column, the individuals who are quoted are pretty far from qualified experts on the field of quantum mechanics. Case in point: One of the persons expounding on causality and quantum physics (Dispenza) is a chiropractor. The film's sole purpose appears to be to promote the ideology of the Ramtha School of Enlightenment. A quick browse through their Web site will clearly demonstrate that the film's pseudoscientific nonsense comes straight from the teachings of the RSE.

Rubin Safaya, Edina, Minn.

A. Several other readers also unmasked the documentary as a hoax. I knew there had to be something fishy when the expert who made the most sense was channeling a 35,000-year-old seer from Atlantis.

My sister sent around an email telling everyone she knew to go see this movie, and after reading this, I think should tell her that it was all bunk.

Glad to hear that, at least my modenr physics class was not in vain
