That was nice of her to offer her ablum for free. I was downloading faster from her site then Kazza ever goes :)

Not that I wanted it, but hey, if she wants to give it away for free.
And yes it is still up and trucking right along, if you have cable/dsl

Thanks

you were going to buy a madonna album?!?!

she shut her mouth up about the war after she saw what happened to the dixie chicks...even pulled her album's debut single video...she says music is all about the message...WRONG... it's all about music... and should never be more. You wan't to convey a message..write a book or poem!

it's probably something similar to the RIAA hack that occured not too long ago, where they put up mp3s on RIAA's server.

ok, i can no longer get the links..i think someone finally got a clue

These guys think it was a publicity stunt.
Over the weekend the official Madonna site madonna.com was designed to look like it was hacked and the entire new 'American Life' album offered for a free download.

Every song from the Madonna album was available to save as MP3 just as the album was shipping into store.

So ... is this a real hack or a crafty promotional stunt?

A real hacker you would think would be directing the downloads to a third party site but all of the MP3 files are coming off a madonna.com server.

All 11 tracks from 'American Life' are there to grab as of early Sunday morning. We shall all see how long it lasts.

Meanwhile, it looks like it could be a very clever publicity stunt. Madonna is certainly suffering a backlash from her highly emotional, newly discarded anti-Bush video and the preceived attack could be viewed as a strategic plan to win back 'votes' from the disillusioned fanclub.

Well done Maddie. It almost fooled us.

I doubt it.... Like they're going to put the hacker tag in there, lol.

Someone just uploaded it all to her server.

I think it was a publicity stunt as well. Madonna is all about making news to sell more records.
