Somebody needs to explain to me why I need to get my panties in a bunch over this. Seriously, this has "manufactured crisis" stamped ALL over it. It's like the new gay marriage.
Would you rather the U.S bring in 500,000 people every couple years from countries overseas? U.S.
Ah, yes, well I have a problem getting upset over numbers provided with no references and no context. I imagine I could find much larger numbers for some other arbitrary group like black people or liberals or some such. The question is why I CARE what those numbers are. The obvious implication is that they are somehow "stealing" this money, but I'm not sure I see the connection.

The Muslims in the U.S (6-7 million, 2-3 million religious) are peaceful with the general population for a reason. They have an education and/or were respectable enough back home to be able to convince immigration officials to enter this country.
Imagine if we had to bend rules because we were desperate.
The Crisis is that America will no longer be White! But rather, burrito eating, siesta napping Hispanics!!!!
Eh, I don't know about the rest of you, but I think our society could always use a little improvement. And new immigrant groups have always helped with that, despite the naysayers at the time.

Fact of the matter (and for some time now) is that immigration reform is desperately needed. The country will not fall into a massive state of unemployment. Lettuce will not be $100/head. Economic life in America will evolve.......LAWFULLY!

There are LEGAL means to do that. Actually I'm very much for increasing LEGAL immigration but only after cleaning up this massive illegal immigration mess this country suffers from currently.
Sure, and I agree the legal immigration is really the way to go...but I guess I don't see a huge difference between legal and illegal immigration. Obviously they aren't the same, but I don't see why the difference is the source of such angst among so much of our population.

See, there is where I have my problem with this train of thought. Virtually everyone in this country receives government money in some form or another, especially when it comes to education. The reason for this is that we contribute to the economy and it makes sense for the government to assist us. Now while illegal aliens obviously didn't get the legal OK for this, they also work and also contribute to the economy and (directly or indirectly) pay taxes. The website presents it like the illegal aliens are robbing a bank and keeping the money under their collective mattress, and I'm saying I don't think it's quite that simple.

Perhaps we're more informed on the situation here out west.......(So Cal especially)......but there is definitely still a lot of ignorance on the matter.
