I speak and write three languages myself and trust me when I say this: translating from English to any other language is pretty tough if you don't know both languages thoroughly.

i think what you are trying to do is pretty cool, however i doubt it'll work, for multiple reasons:

1.) the domain is registered, and will most likely be automatically renewed, so it won't just "expire" in a year
2.) Anand probably won't just give away rights to copy his site for free
3.) As stated in many posts above, no offence, but your english isn't the best, so it would be difficult for you, your friends, the online translators, etc, to translate the very well written articles acurately and correctly.
4.) It would be extremely difficult to keep up with all the articles unless you made this a full time job, and by just copying the articles to italian, i don't think you would make too much money, if anything at all. To make the money, you need highly paying advertisers.

Again, your intent was not bad, but unfortunately I doubt it will work.

The only reason his post count is higher than mine is beacuse he is posting useless stuff. 🙂

I don't want to come on too strong, but it's so annoying when you hear stupid ideas from a person who can't even speak proper english and wants to translate AnandTech articles.

The person may even have to spend whole day trying to translate the articles because he will have to read each article at least 10 times in order to get the translations right and if you look at AnandTech's articles, reading the article 10 times would take an entire day (exaggerating). 🙂
