Yes! He took out Austin with the ANGLE LOCK!

It was quite a fro' and go' match.... Kurt Dominated at the start... then Austin tried to run away, and then Austin got dragged back... got his ass kicked some more... then it was Austin who started kicking ass... then just when things looked grin for Angle, he pulls out the LOCK and Austin tapped out!

Of course the WWF went in to congratulate Kurt! And his family too, what a great time they all had

<< Thread on this already. >>

Wow, please excuse us for not making that thread the center of our universe! I'm so sorry GoldenBear for not logging on and immediately doing a search for WWF Unforgiven... please... Forgive my indolence

Why is the fact that wrestling is scripted always brought up?

I mean, when a discussion about Friends or Rush Hour 2 is brought up, people aren't all, "But Chris Tucker is doing fake things" Or "But Ross didn't really sleep with Rachel"

<< wasn't Chris Tucker forced to do some of his own stunts in Rush Hour 2? >>

Wrestlers do 100% of their own stunts in front of live audiences 250 days a year without a director right next to them or with the aid of special effects.

it's because wrestling is a real sport... if you had something called the world baseball league, i think most people would assume that it's supposed to be real. so it's abnormal to some people that it's fake.

a) When you have a guy named the Rock, the Undertaker, and Hulk Hogan, one can't help but question its legitimacy.
b) When you have dramatized interviews and promos cut on a regular basis, with pyro and entrance music and such, one can't help but question its legitimacy.
c) When you have guys climbing up 20 foot ladders, punches missing by 3 ft, people being thrown on ropes and bouncing back like they were elastic or something, one can't help but quesiton its legitimacy.

what's your point, that it's obvious? i remember way back when... when hulk hogan was still a star, the kids at my school thought it was real. maybe this is just left over from those days, when they didn't make it as obvious or something. anyways, the introduction of the faking in this thread was just a joke!

When I was a kid I thought He-Man and the Ninja Turtles were real, and that was what I wanted to be when I grew up.

Yes, but the annoyance factor is still high, since people wouldn't state such a thing in a Lord of the Rings thread or whatever.

If they do, then I'll be satisfied.
