Simply put, a few weeks ago they confirmed with the WWE that the show was still a go so tickets went on sale. Simply put, the only way out of this for them is to pay WWE a full arena's worth of ticket sales to have them move elsewhere.

For that first part I agree.
For the second part I disagree. If I were the WWE I'd expect a whole lot more than "here's some cash, now amscray to somewhere else". I'd certainly ask how I'm supposed to satisfy fans who were expecting to see RAW and now can't because the ownership gave me permission to do my thing monday night and now need a takeback.

Do people really care that much? If your week is ruined because you can't watch oiled up men in spandex briefs grope each other, then you have bigger issues.

you can't see why the WWE would nto be satasifed with that? and wants to satisfy there fans?

Here's a ewsflash for you dude....Just because you don't enjoy it or care for it doesn't mean that no one else does...

Apparently, the WWE has alot of fans and if i were one of them that bought a ticket a month or so in advance and got cancelled for this BS, I would be pissed off as well...

I wouldn't be surprised to see Vince McMahon hold the live raw in the Pepsi Center Parking Lot, just to rag on the Nuggets the entire night...

I want to see the Nuggets and Lakers in the parking lot because a judge rules that the WWE's contract is valid and they get the arena instead of the basketball game.

why not play the bball game at mile high? or invesco field w/e they call it now? this is the first time something like this has happened. the nba should just move the game to tuesday and have monday be a rest day. the wwe would more than likely sue for breach of contract.

How the hell do you hold a bball game out in the middle of an open air football stadium? The wind alone would affect the shot a lot...

Not a lot of time for a lawsuit unfortunately, but if there's nothing in the contract about cancelling, the Nuggets shouldn't stand a chance in court.

I'm sure they'd be a little miffed. I suppose I'd be upset if I bought tickets to the circus or something and it was canceled.

I still don't understand why the rasslers can't do whatever they do in some outdoor stadium? It has to be a heck of a lot easier to pretend to hit someone if it's windy than for an NBA player to hit a three pointer.

ok great. got a outdoor stadium that will hold 10k + all the production equipment (remember this is live) etc. notifiing every ticket holder where it is etc.

thats even ignoring the breach of contract.

but yeah the WWE can set up a outdoor event. but that does not cancel out the lawsuits that can/will be filled (and won)

So is the WWE gonna sue? Would they win?

They don't have to sue, they have the contract. Their only suit would arise if the arena tries anything to prevent them from occupying it.

Real sports should not take a back seat to fake sports. I hope the NBA does not cave on this one.

A contract is a fucking contract. I don't watch wrestling, but I know how the hell a contract works.

Although also, fuck your shitty basketball as well. What a god damn worthless sport.

Mile High Stadium (or whatever it's called now). I'm sure most people in Denver know where that is.

As far as lawsuits, I'd say Stan Kroenke can easily afford to throw enough money at McMahon to make him go away. Especially with all the money he's getting from having a team so far in the playoffs.

Reminds me of that skit where Chris Rock outlined the difference between rich and wealthy?

Shaq: Rich
Guy who signs Shaq's checks: Wealthy

You keep believing that stupid douche....the WWE is in the right and apparently you are unaware that the WWE makes plenty of money to squeeze every penny possible out of the sure to come lawsuit if they do indeed force the WWE out of the venue when the contract sides with them and they even took steps to confirm no issues would come about weeks ago. I can't believe you idiots are defending the guilty parties in the NBA/Denver Nuggets because THEY ARE IN THE WRONG AND THEY BROUGHT IT ON THEMSELVES FOR BEING IDOTS.

So you want to take your son to see a bunch of juiced-up shirtless and sweaty middle aged men playing make believe?

homophobic rednecks? 😛

You stereotype quite a bit there Phokus.....and ignorant people have a tendency to do that. That goes doubly so for your tasteless signature...you keep believing you're a smart cookie if it keeps you warm at night.
