Some ass-jalapeño left a garage sale sign on my property (it's a corner property). It's on the far side of the sidewalk from my house (space between sidewalk and street).

What should I do? I admit, I am annoyed. But am I an ass for being annoyed?

Is the other side of the walk your property?

ass-pepper?

Write "5:00AM early birds welcome" on it.

Toss it in the trash...or just take it to the yard sale and trade it for something you want...

make some 50% off coupons and staple them to the edge of the sign so people will take them and use them at the sale

Or you could just be a good neighbor and let it sit there for a day until they take it down.

I don't think the parking strip qualifies as your property, does it?

Nor is it the persons that placed the sign there unless he got permission from the city but it's still a dick move placing the sign next to other peoples house like that without permission.

You are still responsible for maintaining it and if it's in your way simply remove it or do some of the evil things people are suggesting. :p

I hope it doesn't offend you that I have no intention of evening letting that thought go through my neural network.

Garage sale signs are usually allowed by local ordinances. They're generally only allowed within a certain window, though, and must be taken down after the sale.

burn it with fire and leave the burned sign up as an example for further sign squatters

I've been toying with this idea for the past few hours. The Owl has forbid me from starting a fire, however, because it will scare away His dinner.

I would continue to watch episodes of star trek from the comfort of my home. If the sign stayed there'll long enough to impede my progress the next time I'm mowed, I would throw it in the street and continue mowing. At no time would I consider it worth the trouble to say anything to the neighbors. Don't start no shit, won't be no shit.
