WU times jumped up by 1hr

Hi, I'm only running one comp for S@H but in the past couple of weeks I've seen my wu times jump up by nearly an hour. This happened after I installed a new heatsink/fan. Temps are lower than before so I don't think that's the problem. I've also added some more ram (512mb now) and a new tv card. Nothing else has changed, running XP with an Athlon XP 2000+. Has this happened to anybody else or is it just me? Does anybody have any tips to lower wu times?

What kind of MB do you have? I know the Nforce2 boards have a function to throtle back the cpu if it gets to hot.
Maybe your not getting the cooling that you did with the past fan and heatsink?

What software/drivers did you install with that TV card? Check to see if there are new apps/services running that could be stealing processing time.

The hardware upgrades shouldn't affect your times, unless you changed some BIOS settings.

My thoughts are similar to Ray's... I would check to see whether the TV card may have installed some new software that's running all the time, and thus stealing some time from SETI.

The other thing that might be increasing WU times is if you have your RAM running out-of-sync with the CPU's FSB speed. That raises the latency and may be negating the theoretical benefit of the extra bandwidth.
