WTH word is eating my computer

i have one instance of word open and some how that equates to 5 WINWORD.EXE's muching 20% cpu each, with a 6th WINWORD doing nothing

what kind of bucket of ****** is word 2000? lol stupid windows 2000 and word 2000. the new XP machines cant come soon enough
 
Wait.... windows 2000? Can't wait for Windows XP to show up... (/me checks the post date) yea, this was posted today.... where on earth do you work where they are 7 years behind the curve? Wow...

i think the whole company is 7 years behind the curve in every aspect. but since were pretty much the only major steel maker and processor in the UK its kind of a monopoly if you like. so even though we are terrible, buyers dont have much choice unless they wanna spend stacks of cash.

we still have windows 2000 pcs here.

we even have at least one on 98 and 1 or 2 on 3.11 (although they aren't really desktop pcs, they run the CNC laser machines)
