I was at a redlight and this cop rolls to a stop a little ahead of me. He kept rolling forward as in a rush and then all of a sudden just drove through the red. He didn't flash his lights nor put on his siren. At the next redlight, I was beside him again and when I looked over he was on his cell. It did not look like he and his partner was rushing to an emergency. I don't even think he realized what he did. Luckily no one was coming the other way while he drove through.

Its becoming more and more common everywhere I look.
Cops think they can break the law simply because they are cops.

Sorry, guys. You're MY public servants. Not gods, not heros, not special.
Deal with it.

Yeah, there are never calls where we need to keep a low profile. Suicidal subject especially love it when we pull up with lights & siren.

He OP mentioned that he was on the cell phone. It's possible that he's a negotiator and was talking to a suicidal subject. It's not a great idea to blast through a stoplight without lights and siren, and if you're attention is distracted it's an even worse idea.

It could have been a different sort of call that requires a low profile as well. I once responded to a call that they refused to send over the radio, cell phone, or MDC. My partner & I had to go to a pay phone and call 911 to get the details and we had to rush to the call without lights & sirens because of the nature of the call. It turned out there was an after-hours drop slot at a bank where local businesses would drop off their nightly deposits that jammed. When we pulled up there were envelopes in there containing thousands of dollars each. Lord knows how much was there in total.

That ain't nothing as I got pulled over for doing 60 in a 55 mile an hr zone and was given the option of 1 speeding ticket or no seat belt...the damn officer wasn't even wearing his and drove off without buckling up !
