so keep it and drop collision/comprehensive and just keep liability

it is worth more as transportation to you than the small $ you would get from selling it

1991 Chevy Cavalier 72k miles.

So lets say I had someone smack into me and total my car. I would get like 200 dollars for it? Thats messed up. I know its not perfect at all, but with 72k miles on it, it has a while to go before it dies. No major mechanical problems with it. Just issues like a little rust and exhaust supports missing.

GRRRR

and i thought I had the worst car on ATOT...

mine's worth 400 dollars... i think...i hope...

'84 toyota camry w/ no AC (busted AC) burning oil badly, and getting crappy milage. oh, and a manual.

EDIT: Oh, i forgot, it is at 230,099.4 as i pulled back into my slot on the street today.
230k is pretty impressive.

Sucks that it burns oil, though. My girlfriends mom's old '83 Camry had 218k on it.. It still ran great, didn't use any oil.. was an automatic.

Unfortunately, it had been in an accident, and the frame was bent.. went through the front left and right rear tires about every 4 months(the edges). They got a new car and stopped driving it, then they moved and just left it there.. heh.

the last rebuild it had was a bad rebuild, my father put performance rings and stuff into a car that shouldnt really have them... (talked into it). it was a great car till then. it's also been totaled twice, but the insurance didnt know anything about it (not like they'd care now...) the air conditioning compressor is completely shot, so it would require a complete replacement to get any AC at all.

one thing positive i will say about the car, is it runs really cool. another thing i'll say is that for all it's faults, it's still holding in there. 3 people learned to drive stick on it, me included. it's been a good car, for a long time.

I think we're gonna retire it most likely in the form of a viking funerary pyre. on a boat. in the ocean. hopefully. (after cleaning the whole thing out removing oil, gas, everything bad.) and we're gonna take pictures 😀

LMAO!

And A Honda Civic has a lot more re-sell value then a Cavalier.

Holy hell. Its hard trying to find a car in your condition with lesser value.

Ahh, It's been rebuilt.. the Camry I was talking about was untouched as far as internals go..

LOL.... Nahh, don't do that.. just sell it for 75 bucks or something. If it still runs and drives, someone can really use it.

ouch. r u trying to sell it? if not, then who cares what it's worth. it sure beats taking the cab everywhere.
