I've had 3 days now of zithromax for bronchitis, sinus infection and UTI... I'm up now because my back is killing me and I'm so cold I can't stop shaking.

Sounds like one hell of a cold / flu. Hope you're feeling better soon. If you expect it to be anything else I'd go right back to the doctor though. Till then I guess I'd take a HOT bath, wrap myself up in tons of blankets, drink lots and lots of scalding hot tea (decaf), take something to make me super dopey and hope to sleep it off.

Ghosts. Check for anomalous electromagnetic fields also.

Zithromax is an antibiotic. It will do nothing to help a viral infection (which is probably causing the fever you apparently have). Sometimes it doesn't matter what you take, once you get it you're stuck with a week or two of just plain being sick. Your best bet may simply be to rest a lot, drink plenty of water, take vitamins, get as much sleep as you can, and eat healthy food.

Obligatory ATOT response: Go see a doctor. NOW!!!

Get well soon. A lot of people around here have been sick. Supposedly 4000 students went to the local affiliated hospital. My roommate and a friend who lives in one of the other apartments in the building both have been sick for several days each (not at the same time though). Also several people at work have been sick. I of course am apparently non-human, or at least a mutant, and don't seem to get other people's sickness/germs, although thats not a bad thing I would say.

I'd say if you're not better by tonight, you call your doctor and see if he/she can get you some stronger anti-biotics.

Were those drugs prescribed for the illness you have right now? Or are you assuming that's what it is based on previous ailments, an you have self-medicated this time with old medicines?

Sounds to me like you have the flu that is going around, the one that took me out for a week.

I had: (moderate to severe)
Shakes
Sweats
Fever (up 10 101)
MAJOR headache
muscle soreness
chest congestion

Finally went to the Dr after day 4 of fever - it's a flu, nothing more. Nasty strain making the rounds.

QFT! Its actually irresponsible to use an antibiotic for a viral infection.

Sounds like massive drug withdrawals!
Might want to go back on the wagon and ween off then, then go cold turkey :D

Honestly sounds like you got one hell of a cold and a fever, maybe go see a real doctor, we suck here acting like one.

Paging DR Howard, DR Howard, Dr Fine, Dr Howard. Paging Dr Fine and Dr Howard, to the emergency room stat!

Sounds like you have the flu.

Seriously, RSV (or wtf ever it's called) has been sweeping the nation for weeks.

I just got over the nasty stuff...took me 5 weeks to either go through flu-bug 1 and 2, or just to get through all the stages of the initial bug. I'm not positive which one, but "round 1 was cough and light chest congestion, minor sniffles, and body aches. Round 2 was HEAVY sinus infection/drainage, HEAVY chest congestion, fever, some of the worst chills I've ever had, and my body ached like I'd been run over by a truck--numerous times.
The chest congestion got so bad I couldn't breathe normally. I had to "gulp" my air...
I went through 1 week of Keflex 4 times a day, then drug out the heavy artillery, and took Cipro twice a day for a week. While antibiotics don't do anything for the virus itself, they CAN help with the symptoms and side-effects of the virus.
I've been susceptible to pneumonia for many years. Any bad chest cold can lead to pneumonia if I'm not careful, and this one was no different for me. Kicked my ass. (but being "dedicated," I went to school every day...so I could share with my classmates...:D

She said she had a UTI, which is usually caused by E. coli. and may be the source of the fever.

A buddy of mine always told me, never kiss a prostitute that just polished off a bucket of undercooked chicken. He's followed his own advice and hasn't gotten sick since the summer of '92.

hang yourself by your feet and cough real hard while you think of something that makes you laugh out loud.

People don't know... but that cures most ailments like aids and parkinsons... and scurvy
