My neighborhood is known for being the "rich" neighborhood in my town... We only have kids from our neighborhood come around...

I live in basically a "white" neighborhood and they truck the minorities in to trick or treat here. It has gotten out of hand. We get a lot of white trash, Mexicans, and Blacks....all who obvioulsy do not live in our neighborhood. It has actually ruined Halloween around here for us and for the first time EVER we did not have our light on or give out candy tonight. We put together those little bags of candy last week for every kid on the street and delivered them last night on our walk because we did not want to punish the local kids.
Wow, that seems a little sad that you went out of your way to not give kids treats simply because they weren't from your neighborhood. What would it have been, an extra $20 to give treats to the other children too?
yes, that is the way it should be.Originally posted by: Zanix

Isn't it fair to say everyone should only trick or treat in their own neighborhood?

Let them beg for candy in their own fvcking neighborhood. It's not my job to supply sweet treats to every impoverished kid that comes to my door, especially if I know they/re not from my neighborhood.

Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. Yeah we had a lot of kids that were not from our neighborhood show up, but thats cool.. I liked seeing their costumes. And they were all nice and were having a good time.
Later in the night we did have some older kids come by (most of which were not wearing costumes) so I just gave them their candy and made fun of them.. They thought it was as funny as I did.
I would say stuff like:
Ahh What are you supposed to be little boy, a ninja? (because ninjas are stupid lame beggers)
or
How did you get the night off of work for trick or treating?
or
Just what are you dressed up as? (and then wait patiently as they came up with something)
It is all about the fun, you guys get too worked up over sh!t. At the end of the night we still had a pretty full bowl of candy and so the last kid that came to our door got ALL OF IT. (Probably like 5lbs of mixed candy) and she was totally stoked.

Why not just their own street? Or just houses of people they know personally? 😕 If the kid is willing to spend 4 hours walking around different neighborhoods, who cares? When I was a kid I didn't live in a "neighborhood," I lived in a rural area. I guess I shouldn't have been allowed to go trick or treating.
Oh no the brown people are going to get all our candy!

Trick or treating might be only intended for suburban children. Rural = not enough houses, Urban = people don't give out candy

It is nice to see that the morning crew didn't bother to read past the first few posts or the last few posts. I realized what I posted sounded bad and needed clarification so I did so TWICE, but that isn't as controversial or as easy to bash so it is not interesting or important. Oh well, it isn't like I really care what anyone around here thinks of me anyway as it doesn't change or affect my life in any way.
I have to go because I need to get to the polls for early voting and I need to cast my vote for Proposition 2 here in Texas which will basically ban gay marriage forever.....I'm sure that will piss a bunch of you off and give you even more to talk about. 😉

Its a pretty racist statement, and I haven't noticed that you've edited it or anything.... Don't act like everyone else is stupid when you are equating white trash to mexicans and blacks. Did you not mean what you said? If you meant what you said, then get over yourself. You spend thousands on cars and don't want to give away $20 worth of candy to give kids a fun night.
Selfish prick.
