I once saw LED brake lights in a spoiler that blink in different patterns. i thought it was kinda cool. My spoiler has built-in LED brake lights...I bet it'd be a fairly simple circuit to build....

They definitely aren't standard on Hondas, nor are they a dealer option. It's just a common (and I suspect cheap and easy to install) add-on.

Either that, or it's a jackass who drives with 2 feet or steps on the brake all the time....

Finally, break lights for anti-lock breaks! :D

You guys do realize this is the third brake light we're talking about, not the main lights?

I don't have it, but see it all the time here in the Atlanta area. I don't think it's that bad of an idea, gets your attention that they're stopping doesn't it?

Actually, as I said in my original post, I first thought it was a turn signal....

I've never had a problem noticing brake lights when they come on, even when there were only two of them ;) The whole idea of the third brake light is to alert less-attentive drivers with the dedicated, high-mounted brake light. The blinking HMSL only serves to create confusion with turn signals. The reason it annoyed me is because it's another stupid rebellion against normal, established, legal lighting standards.

Probably to get your attention, because a steady one can be overlooked. I bet you they did it to reduce rear end collisons, but it is annoying.
