Lame. People who tweet wouldn't go to a Spiderman movie anyway. They're bringing race into something that has nothing to do with race. Wtf does it always have to be about color?
wait, what about when they cast Halle Berry as Storm in X-Men? this black spider may just work

She is dark skinned as originally portrayed in the comics. I think the cartoon character was white IIRC.

According to established Marvel canon, Ororo Munroe is born in New York City as the child of Kenyan tribal princess NDare and American photographer David Munroe.
Apparently a lot of white nerds do!who gives a shit?
TBH, skin color is a physical characteristic that is incredibly noticible. If you want to be faithful to the comics, this should be taken into consideration as well. Thats why stocky guys playing slim guys won't work either.

"Gentrification! They gon' drive out the black element to make the galaxy quote, unquote, safe for white folks. And Jedi's the most insulting installment! Because Vader's beautiful black visage is sullied when he pulls off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty, old white man! They tryin' to tell us that deep inside we all wants to be white!" - Chasing Amy
