I don't care if he's black (lol, Troy from Community?), but I didn't like the last Spiderman movie series (saw 1, though it was okay, 2 was crap, didn't bother seeing 3) and I think they should wait a while until rebooting the series. I don't get why Hollywood is so quick to revive all the comic book heroes.

I've never seen any of those five white actors in anything. I like the guy from Community. He wouldn't be my first choice for Spider-Man, but I don't care as long as they never make another Spider-Man movie as bad as Spider-Man 3.

Who cares? The Spider Man movies killed the superhero for me, pussified the hell out of peter parker for one. 90s cartoon for life.

So now they have black actors playing characters in Marvel comics who are originally and currently white.

First they change Kingpin in Daredevil, then Nick Fury in Iron Man. Oh, Silver Surfers voice is done by a black actor too.
D.C. Comics is guilty too. Changing Catwoman to a black character.
Some movies too, The Nutty Professor and Dr. Dolittle were originally white characters. Almost forgot about Wild Wild West.

WTF are they thinking?

Sounds way better than the other options I saw being tossed around; Troy is awesome. They are going a totally different way with the series now, so it's not surprising. I don't expect them to ever achieve the awesomeness of Spiderman 2 again anyway.

Seeing how they portray Jesus as a white person, I fail to see the problem with this. Of course an ATOTer posted a link to a petition to stop having black actors play fake characters. It's not like Samuel Jackson is playing Elvis or Denzel is playing JFK. It's some fucking Marvel superheros for shits sake.
