The whole tech sector looks like it's up almost 3%, but I'm not sure.

CNBC just reported on tech chips; amd, intc, qcom & armh

Jon Fortt Said "Intel faces a STRONGER AMD & a more bolder Arm". Intc Needs to prove its more then a chip maker. Intc also need to explain how they'll make the move into mobile/wireless.

Berger Said intel has to proves its more then just a cpu chip maker. Intel has to act fast and excute to get involved into mobile for the future. But prefer TXN over INTC.

Freedman said AMD is favorable on and its CHEAP. Expect forward uptick and better news to come for the chip sector future.

The leaked benchmarks do look fantastic, but i'm not seeing that as a sign of AMD ending their 40 quarter red ink streak. (i know i know, they had like 3 black ones in there)

I don't see bulldozer topping sandy, that will keep AMD in the "value" position for quite some time.

Zacato might bitchslap Sandy in the graphics department though, it certainly wont win any CPU benchmarks though.

Personally i have never invested in AMD, they are too "all over the place" and there is zero chance of dividends. They are more attractive than ever though without Ruiz aiming the AMD ship at every iceberg in the ocean.

Oh I agree, it is a large and significant movement, but personally I reserve the term 'skyrocket' for something that jumps 25%+
