After attacking the child, 34-year-old Angel Vidal Mendoza Sr. quickly left his apartment in a wheelchair, entered a backyard of a nearby vacant home and attacked his own legs with an ax, severely injuring himself, Bakersfield police reported.

Wow that's brutal. The dad should be pushed off a mountain in his wheel chair. I believe in eye for eye punishment in cases like these.

There's something horrifying about that quote, because every time I read it, it makes me laugh. I picture a child sitting there talking about the most horrific thing in a cute little way. It's really quite disturbing.

I was gonna reply "uh oh" but then I read the article. 🙁

Jesus. I cannot believe that man was allowed to have custody or care of that child. I'm not talking about kids being taken from their parents because of someone seeing a parent spank the kid, but jesus fucking christ!

"CPS officials say there has to pretty much be serious physical abuse -- major bruises or broken bones -- before a child is taken away from his parents automatically." Understandable because of do-gooders seeing you give your kid a quick slap on the rear", but goddamn... I'm not one to interfere with one's personal life but I think a look at that child's dad's (and mom's) records would give it away. How can a kid grow up with a supportive family like that? Just fucked.
