Metaphor, but my point stands - magats couldn't or wouldn't appreciate why giving business to China's competitors was the way to stand up to them economically. The irony is the TPP could have probably helped a lot during the covid supply chain woes. Just like with the federal covid response, Trump's petty vindictiveness towards Obama fucked all Americans. Yep. There were maybe three or four people on p&n that were for Tpp (I was one of them). Most people who were against it didn’t like the IP stuff that was in it.

I can’t think of a better job for Trump than serving on the board of a fire district. Or are they supposed to put them out? I guess the first thing he’s going to do is order a million rakes to rake out the underbrush so there won’t be any more fires. Hell, why not just cut down the trees and turn the whole state into a golf course?
