well a thunderstorm, as opposed to the usual 12-20 inches of snow is pretty crazy

Fricking global warming. The past 3 or 4 years we haven't had any big snow storms here in MN. We used to get a few big ones every year.

That green sky is one of the spookiest weather phenomena you can see (it's caused by airborne hail refracting the light) because you know someone somewhere nearby is about to have their ass handed to them. You just don't know when or where exactly.

We had one decent one last year in Wisconsin. But yeah, it's definitely not what we used to get.
