I love the new quote feature in these forums!
I have also noticed that about half of the time, people somehow atribute quotes to the wrong person!
All of us are quoted all over these forums with quotes that are half of the time the exact opposite of what we think.

I didn't misquote you, dumbass. I quoted someone else, who quoted someone else, who quoted you.

Looks like you are the idiot.

FFM is secretly a MOD. You are now banned!

FFM is not a Mod. Unless he hacked something. FFM? Did you hack us?

I agree with you, Glen. I have been extremely confused with quotes being used without checking to be sure that the persons referenced actually made the statements in question. Today was one of those days, as I read the illegal immigrant's medical condition and the doctor's dilemma. I remember seeing quotes made and being attributed to the wrong persons.

It is for reasons like this that I take the precautionary measure to directly quote someone without using the quote feature.

If misquoting is taking place, it's either the person clicking the wrong "quote" button, or the software building the quote incorrectly. I highly doubt anyone here actually highlights text, copies it, replies, opens a quote, puts in italics and bold for "originally posted by:", then pastes in the highlighted text --going through these great lengths only to put in the wrong name spelled correctly.

...I dunno what it is, but it's also not that hard to get the general idea of what people are trying to refute.

Thanks for the response, Ffmcobalt. I think that the I uncovered the source of the problem: When person B quotes person A but person B makes no comment, consequently person C quotes person B but is in essence quoting person A. And then person D comes and quotes person C and then eventually someone else quotes the previous persons without comments . . . you get the picture, I suppose. This causes a misdirection on who said what at some point. The culprit is the quote that was made without any comments and then someone else picking that quote of a quote. . . . Confusing! LOL!

Ah that takes me back to that great summary of spiderman.

PP: I'm a nerd.
PP: I got bit by a spider. Now I'm strong and cool.
MJ: I'm in trouble.
PP: I'll save you.
MJ: I love you. Do you love me?
PP: No.
Audience: DO HER!
PP: No.

^^ Something to that effect.

That's the worst summary of the "summary of spiderman" I've ever seen. :p It's more like:

Peter Parker: (gets bit by spider) BLEEEEARRRRRGGGGGHHH
Peter Parker: (swings from buildings) Now, this rocks.
Green Goblin: (dies) BLEEEEARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH
Peter Parker: That sucked, but I rocked.
Mary Jane: Do me, you stud.
Peter Parker. No.
Audience: DO HER!
Peter Parker. No.

Where's PsychoAndy? The original version in his sig was even funnier.
