Exam one: 22/20

Exam two: 4/30!!!

you?re Fing kidding me!

I hate you professor D-bag. I email you to see if you maybe made a mistake in posting the exam grade (posted online). You tell me that you wont look into anything or answer any questions about the exam unless they are group questions!?!?! ARE YOU NUTS?! You stop class (a lecture class with ~350 students) when someone talks. (HE STOPS IT FOR 2 MIN EACH TIME explaining how talking disrupts the class).....did you ever think that STOPPING THE CLASS TO EXPLAIN WHY PEOPLE SHOULDNT TALK MAY JUST DISRUPT IT EVEN MORE?! You lecture like a scatter brained 9yr old with ADHD on crack. Maybe if you went by some sort of outline 99.9% of your class (basically everyone but the guy in the front you fondle) wouldn?t be lost. We would learn more from a corpse teaching the class you moronic tool. MAYBE if you ever worked in the real world you may know what the hell you?re babbling about, but you haven?t so you DONT!

ARGH!

You need to study, and i bet s/he brings in millions in grants. Let me guess its not a small liberal arts school?

Well welcome to the world of tenured professors who don't give a sh|t about their students. 🙁

damn right! the proffesor should give you an hour of 1 on 1 time and allow you to retake the test! how dare he threaten your future! call the dean sue the school shoot him!

Does your class have a textbook? Did you read it and work through the problems / self-study activities?

I had a stats class with a profesor no one could understand, but the material was all in the textbook so no big deal.

In the real world you'll need to be able to figure things out for yourself anyway. The spoon-feeding ends when you graduate.

This is what I loved about going to a Community College. If I had a question, my professors would do anything to answer it. We'd get in to 30 minute discussions about mathematics, physics, literature, whatever. They'd do research on their own time to answer questions that students had, and that really meant a lot to me and the others.

Its not all about tenure, nice of you to latch on to that. Why didnt you include "unions" like the other dope above? Plus, the OP never mentioned tenure or even if the prof was senior or junior. The best professors i had in college and grad school were tenured, so were the worst. Also, at big research driven universities grants are more important. However, i will say that the tenure system does need to include regular tenure reviews.

have you considered going to office hours (or gone to them before complaining).A person likes to see you made the effort to come before they do effort for you. a lot of people hate answering emails. besides one on one i am sure he'll listen to you much better

I love these threads. I'm sure we're getting about 1/2 the story.

Coeincadentally, the same grade percentage the op has.

el oh el.

I hate Profs like this. This is why I only take classes that have the prof rated well on ratemyprofessor.com, you should email the Dean.
