Probably. Apartments usually have parking tags, but if they're displayed at the rear that makes sense.
Exactly why the ondo board made our reg that way. Then the "security officer" could drive by and scope out violaters from the comfort of his Cushman.

one reason some higher-density complexes have the nose-in parking rule is because you have reisdential windows close to the parking spaces. backing in aims the exhaust right towards those windows. it's not that bad if you just take a minute to park or leave, but around here, a lot of people seem to like to leave their cars warming up for 5-10 minutes when it's less than 45ish degrees outside

it's easier to just say nobody is allowed to do it rather than to confuse people with exceptions.

agreed, but the line was amended and notices put out cited this issue but not that the rule had been amended to a blanket statement.

Fight them tooth and nail (like a true whistleblower ;))

Seriously though, that's fucking retarded. I always park nose-out here, and at the last apartment complex I lived in, and on campus (where it's not allowed). Never got a ticket/tow.

<---parks like that all the time due to the tree sap that fvks up my car...

I will see how far I get with the missing photo, write a letter to request a condo hearing, and see where that leads. If god forbid they insult me, then yes, I will get angry.

edit: woah woah..did you just imply that I suck @ whistleblowing :Q

:(

<--born a heterosexual and it looks he'll die that way too:(

That's asstarded, backing in to a parking spot between stationary cars is safer than backing out into moving traffic.

Granted, in this particular case the traffic won't be moving very quickly, but it's still moronic.

Get some woman in her 40s to come with you and start complaining about how children play in the parking lot, and if people back out of their spots they won't be able to see them and someone might get hurt, and won't somebody please think of the children.

You can always call a lawyer, spend bunch of money on fighting this rule or you can spend $150 and follow t he rules. Hmm, very hard choice.

A man who won't stand up for his principles is no man at all.

Why would you hire a lawyer? You can just use the normal venue to bitch, which is at HOA meetings.

Speaking at HOA meetings? Hmm, i am sure that will get ruled changed. He should just follow the rules and will not have to worry about getting car towed.

Oh yeah, one other thing.
I parked at my friend's apartment complex for about 30 minutes.. in a completely legal way, location, etc., except I don't have one of their parking passes. I had to pay $240 to get them to unhook my car from the tow truck, and it hadn't even been towed yet!

(It goes without saying.... that apartment complex lost more in the deal than I did.)

So $150 isn't so bad...

I got a ticket for doing the same in a parking lot. Never heard of such a rule, but lesson learned I guess. Only cost $20 I think.
