A credit place calls me today, regarding an account I owe. Anyway, there name was Credit Risk Management. Which I thought of was a pretty generic name. Than she sent me through the standard procedures of do you have a credit card, familly, friend ect ect. I answered no. Told her I could make 50$ payments every two weeks, as I am doing with all my other creditors. She went into this long tirade of thats not feasible blah blah. I stuck to it, and we settled on the 50$. So I thank asked her for an account number that I could directly deposit my money into through online banking.

They said they didn't have one.

I asked her what methods of payment.

Western Union and Over the phone credit card.

So than I asked for her name, company name, phone number and address.

Than she asked for my visa number. I told her no, I was making a payment on the 10th, she did not need my visa number until than.

What kind of credit agencies only takes Western Union and ask for a Visa number. All credit agencies I have ever dealt with have had banking deposit numbers that you could pay through. How do I check the legitness of the company?
