WTF wont Fedex ring my doorbell?

They insist on knocking, which consequently causes me not to get my packages (or in this case my roomates package) because I live upstairs and cant hear it. Its not as if the doorbell dosent work, or is inconspicous or anything....

I had no idea they were comming, the package wasnt for me but for a roomate who works all day.

Got 3 packages from Newegg this week. Not once did they knock on the door or ring the doorbell. I was inside and found only that my package was delivered a few minutes earlier by checking tracking info. :disgust:

Same problem with UPS. They just leave the package outside my door. :frown:

Fedex doesn't knock or ring the doorbell around here either. They just go up to the door and stick a delivery attempt sticker to it. Once, I was in my living room, just on the other side of the door when they did that and didn't even know it.

I have mixed feelings about FedEx and UPS. FedEx will not deliver to an empty house. While that is good for security, it's a hassle. UPS will drop off anything, sometimes it makes me mad when something valuable sits for a day on my porch.

UPS plays the knock and run game here. They ring the doorbell while they are walking away. ANd they leave anything sitting there, I had my case sit there for 2 days since I went out the side for 2 mornings consecutively. I was amazed it was still there. I know one oif these days I will get ripped off and it wll be a big hassle.
