Oh, and if you don't like the price of "gas" stop buying it. I haven't paid a cent for petrol in over 2 years.

What's your keyboard made out of? Wood?

Hey genius, no one is complaining about the price of oil. They're bitching about the price of petrol at the pump, considering the low price of oil.

Those prices are BOTH relatively high right now compared to a couple months ago AND relatively low compared to less than a year ago, and have been closely correlating all along.

Clearly you're the kind of 'astronomer' who observes without participating.:p

Are you completely incapable of having an argument, or are you being intentionally stupid? I'm not the one whining about oil/petrol prices. Don't blame me if the reasoning behind their whining sucks. All I am saying is that a large number of people could get by without buying so much petrol.

Boy, that's really possible in places with no public transportation. I didn't think of that! We're not all crammed into a small space like most countries.

Population densities:
United States: 31 people per km^2
New Zealand: 15 people per km^2

Fail. I know it's not possible for everyone, but I haven't owned a car in over 2 years and I use public transportation maybe 5 times a year. I walk, bike or skateboard wherever I need to be.

That's great. Why don't you get back to us after you graduate college and get an actual job, and let us know how your skateboard commute is working out for you.

I've worked two full time summers since giving up driving. Next please.

its a holiday weekend and the guy working there is sick of people treating him like its his fault the prices went up.

He should find another job then. Isn't Obama creating jobs for people like him?

can he have yours?

He wouldn't have a clue how to do it. And I have an easy ass job too.

I'm sure he could learn how to troll...

And even when people DO get vocal, it's still going to keep going up. A lot of folks don't really have a choice... they have to buy gas out of necessity... no matter how much it is.

Stop filling up on a holiday weekend.

They love people that do that.

I had no choice, the last time I filled up was nearly 5 or 6 weeks ago. I am planning to use my car this weekend.

or, you could have chosen to fill up a few days ago.

seeing as how you hadn't done so in 5 or 6 weeks, I doubt the few extra days would have mattered much to you.

not sure it will. Bush was in iwth the oil company's. Obama is not and i do suspect he won't put up with it as much.

If anything, Obama wants gas prices to be higher. He's said as much in previous interviews. He demonstrates as much with his choice for Secretary of Energy and the "Cap & Trade" energy tax that he and the dems are pushing through right now.

Why do you guys keep saying they're testing obama? Obama's bullshit financing of the banks is the reason why gas is going back up. When everyone thought we were headed for the shitter, the price of gasoline collapsed, now they think everything is fine and wonderful (look at the S&P), they think the price of gas should go back up accordingly, this is all while unemployment numbers continue to grow.

uh huh....yeap the economy is back to where it was. yeap. thats why the price of gas is going up. nope not that they are greedy and know we will pay it no matter how high it is.

Not sure about your area, but the compressor machines here have been $0.75 for a while now. Over a year at least.

They are greedy? Who is they? The market? Your point is irrelevant because regardless of whether or not they're greedy, the price is set by market sentiment. Until something bad happens again (hopefully), the price will continue to climb once again, it's really shitty.
