WTF we don't even have an Olympics thread that's stickied? This forum is deader than 3 years ago.

Feel sorry for the girls. The cold ruined their skin and most of them are affected by the cold. :(

ofc there isn't an Olympic thread because most you guys here play prefer golf, wii bowling, and indoor bowls. You old peperz

I care less and less about Olympics as I get older.

I remember the Americans beating Russia in hockey. That made me jump up and down like a psychopath.
But since they keep getting kicked out each year its less exciting.

i never miss a night of the olympics!

red gerard, the kid who won slopestyle, grew up just a couple neighborhoods from here in cleveland before they moved to colorado. the bars in rocky river were packed watching him compete.

i can't wait until the individual figure skating stuff starts. and bobsledding!

TBH i honestly don't care anymore. based off the horrendous coverage of the past few Olympics by US TV stations i don't even bother anymore. the 12 hour time difference does not help either. also like most people i work till 6 each day and the last thing i wanna do when i come home is watch TV.

Of all the Olympics (both Summer and Winter) that I've seen in my life (since the 70s) ... this one has left me the most bored, the most detached I've ever felt. Perhaps it is because it is on the other side of the planet and very little of what we see is live. Also, Katie Couric is a poor choice for a presenter as she knows very little about sports. She is a big turn-off.

If not for the wife watching it I probably would not watch it at all.

Bummer ...

With all the corruption revealed over the years about the corruption in the IOC and in the games themselves, I quit caring years ago.

So I'm assuming they announcers were being sarcastic when they said he was from the 'Snowboarding mecca of Cleveland'? Awesome event though
