I am truly sorry to hear that. I had a friend die when i was in college and I know its hard. My prayers are with you.
 
Hope you get into VT Goosemaster, its a great school and I enjoyed my four years there. Its too bad that the school will be permantley marked by the uncalled for acts of others.

I just got of the phone with a friend (he got accepted recently)

To rephrase what I told him, we better invent the f'ing time machine.

We can't let some fool define what our future will be.

We have to commit to rise from this....

You're absolutely right, if you're the right sort of person. Problem is there are many types of people who don't care, who aren't going to be "polite" in the way you see it. I believe that if everyone were allowed to get and carry concealed weapons the USA would be even worse in terms of being the most violent industrialized nation on earth. And it's that by a wopping huge margin. Noone can compete with US for shear mayhem. More guns is not the answer. They should make it hard to get guns. It won't work overnight. It would take many years for it all the settle out, but 20 years after you ban guns, the homicide rate in the USA will be a fraction of what it is today.
