I had a problem just like that. It was becaus rhte installer was stupid, and did not leave enough conductor on one of the connections, so as the attic cooled off, the copper conductor would shrink back into the tube and the connection would become slower than hell, and the modem would sometimes unsync.

Check all the connections in your house.

That's possable. Though I have all my updates and Norton, I let my room mate share my connection and I doubt HE has done HIS updates and I don't think he's running anti Virus. He also is using ME....arghhhhh.... I suppose I should have mercy on him and FIX that for him! 😉
