There is a key called "F Lock". Press that and it puts back the old functions.
Edit: It's to the right of the last f key on my keyboard, probably that one too.

OMG thank god!
I just got a new MS keyboard too and that was PISSING me off!
dumb how I have to have the F-lock turned on, instead of having it on all the time like it should be !
