If you're paying for something on a credit card the address you give must match the billing address that your credit card company has on file.

It is. I even took one of the bank mails to correctly type it in, 10 or so times. Retarded shit.

I've purchased from various other retailers and they asked for billing address, it worked no problem.

Well, I thought for sure that's what the problem was. Now I have no idea either.

I have this problem with Steam as well. I always have. I've tried both of my CC's, same problem.

I have no solutions. It's a common problem.

LOL! I had my real address and it failed 2-3 times when I selected Paypal. So I typed " steam blows nuts" for address and it went to paypal site. Oh god, I wish I was lying.

Are you using the exact same ZIP code? If you're only typing in 5 digits, but your credit card has all 9 digits on file, it won't work.

In some cases, everything must be exactly the same as what is on file, or else it won't go through.

Oh - the last 4 digits? I didn't bother filling that in and it worked once I changed the address.

So you had put the incorrect address in before?

You might want to read the thread completely and not skip parts.

I did read it...it sounded like:
-OP claimed he put the correct address in multiple times with no luck
-Jeff7 said to put in the extra 4 digit part in
-OP "Oh - the last 4 digits? I didn't bother filling that in and it worked once I changed the address."

so he changed the address and it worked...

had this same problem when i was trying to get on the last stalker deal. purchase never did go through, then they killed the deal.

i suspect it is probably an issue on their end, not really anything to do with the actual address (i know mine was right, and i had used it to buy on steam before as well)

happened to me before, I had to go back and forth with steam's rep via email before I could buy DoD CS. Turns out it's the format of my address, but after that my address never had a problem.

Bought Bioshock last week and everything went fine. Bought another game this week and the transaction failed due to incorrect address.

The purchase was the first time I purchased from Steam, so it didn't have my address. I choose to save it for next time, but then it didn't work.
