This is just stupid. It's people like these sisters who keep prejudice alive. They should be sued for wasting the court's time. The flight attendant never said anything racist. If this doesn't get thrown out my respect for the American judical system will sink to a new low.

I never even knew that phrase had any racial tone - always learned it as "...catch a tiger by its toe..." and that was it. She was just trying to be a little funny while doing a stressful job, sheesh. You know, the manager at Walmart was a little critical of the work I was doing, while everyone else said it was good. She offended me. I think I'll sue.

Yea, really stupid. I've used that phrase many times myself.. I didn't even know how the original went before I read the article.

plus it was 2 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!

Grace Fuller, 48, and her sister Louise Sawyer, 46, were returning from Las Vegas two years ago when flight attendant Jennifer Cundiff, trying to get passengers to sit down, said over the intercom, "Eenie, meenie, minie, moe; pick a seat, we gotta go."

WTF...that's worthless.... I've never heard that rhyme associated with racism. Can't you pretty much replace the second line with anything?

We need to change our legal system. You should be able to sue anybody you want - but if you lose you actually pay the person you were suing. That'd limit the number of pointless lawsuits.

Just when I think there's no way to take PC any farther, I see a story like this.

I think it should be a fairly simple case. The flight attendent was only 22 years old at the time and I have to believe her when she says that she never knew there was a racist version of the song. I didn't know a racial version existed either. I guess these ladies can sue children all over America next.

When did America get so thin-skinned? Whatever happened to "stick and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"?

There was a mention in the Best of the Web on OpinonJournal.com yesterday of a professor at North Carolina using the "N-word" in a graduate student class. It so upset her students that over half of them have dropped her course and she has been forced to resign. Now, she didn't use the "N-word" in any derogatory way, she used it an example of how she doesn't think racism is as bad today and relayed an experience she had in the 60s of how the NAACP was called "N------ Aint Acting Like Colored People". She followed that by saying that is not commonplace today.

I really hate this PC crap...it has gone overboard and is more of a hindrance to our society than a help. You have a so many people out looking for ways that they can be a victim it is ridiculous.

wtf.

AT MOST, you can say that it was a generational gap, and the older women had a different understanding of the phrase. AT MOST, it should have been an apology, and an attempt to educate people not to use the phrase. But damages? eh, come on.

And an excellent opportunity for Fox news to fan the flames of righteous indignation......as usual.

FOXNEWS: airing the stories that make white people mad since 1995. :p

Um, let's see...

Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, stupid black people taking everything under the sun as being racist and pressing it like they're something special can suck it long and hard.

Yup, it can!

The horrible thing is that while these 2 morons are trying to make a quick couple of bucks, they are actually setting BACK the civil rights movement. If you want equality, quit nitpicking stupid details to point out that you're different, especially when taken out of context.
