I agree with you in this particular situation but having a gun with you certainly wouldn't have made it any more likely that you'd be shot at.

obviously never been in that situation myself but i thought that they had depicted a somewhat realistic situation in the movie.

She just got back, she is VERY lucky. The bullet went through everything (trunk, car upholstery, etc) and stopped at her lower back directly on top of her spine. The bullet hole is 9mm. Taking pictures of the car..

And NO! NO pics of my sister! 😛

She just has a big red spot where it broke the skin.

Insurance will cover anything over her $500 deductible. All seats are going to be replaced since the cops ripped them apart and the bullet went through some wiring in the trunk.

Its good to see that she's ok. Thanks to those with kind words. 🙂

edit: Cops told her if she had one less layer of upholstery, it would have made an entry wound.. and go buy a lotto ticket, lucky!

I know nothing about guns, but what kind of caliber does it need to be to go through metal trunk, two rows of seats before hitting the skin? I'm guessing .38 cal at least? He just fired a single shot?

I don't know too much about gun eithers. But yes, it went through all that and the hole is about 9mm in diameter. Being totally oblivious about guns, it surprised me that a 9mm would go through all that, but I guess it can.

Yes, it was a single shot, and a damn accurate one too....
