I got in on the hot deal a few months ago for the Iomega 12X10X32 CDRW drive. Since then I've used it a few times and it worked fine. But for the tonight for the first time I tried to write a CDRW instead of a CDR and when I choose the speed the fastest it will write is 4X. WTF? I even checked to make sure they didn't slip a 12X4X32 into my box and it says 10X on the drive itself. Is it just the POS Adaptec software they sent with it? I don't have any other programs to try it with so that could be it. What do you think?

You must be using 4X rated CD-RW. Try getting the newer 10X rated CD-RW's and you should be able to burn it at that speed assuming Iomega didn't pull a fast one on you. :)

Okay, they are a little old I guess. I looked on them but there wasn't any speed designation. I'll try that before I send off a beotch letter to Iomega. Thanks.
