WTF pissed at gas station >>>

i ride a motorcycle. when i get gas, i normally get gatorade or something to drink.


since I normally only get like $4 of gas, I normally pay inside so it's a combined $5 or whatever..



This stupid gas station wouldn't let me pump my gas before paying.. GOD FORBID if i were to take, at worst, $4 worth of gas... so then i go inside to buy someone to drink.. and guess what.. no credit card purchases less than $3.

That's how it is where I live for like 9 years now. It's not the $4 you'll take but the $50 some SUV will fill up with and drive off with. Does it matter if the minimum is $3 if you bought $4 in gas and $1 in a drink last I checked 5 > 3.

You could have given them your credit card beforehand, filled up, told them to add a Gatorade to your bill, and then left...no?

I was forced to pay for my gas at the pump. then i go inside to buy my gatorade ($1 or whatever) and it's less than their limit

Report the gas station to the CC companies.

It is against the Merchant Agreement for them to impose a minimum total on CC purchases.

They are not allowed to put a minimum purchase on credit cards. I'd reprot them to VIsa and/or Mastercard and let them know that they are doing that. When they sign the agreement with then to take the credit cards, they agree to not have a minimum, not to check IDs, etc.

Most pumps around here require you pay first, unless you're paying at the pump with a CC.

Just tell the dumbass to get with the 20th centruy and get Pay At The Pump.

I won't use a gas station if I can't pay right there.

You can hand the card to the attendant and tell him the pump number. Then pump your gas and return for your drink and card.

Of course, you could just buy a case of Gatorade at Costco for a fraction of the price and take one or two with you in the morning, then you never have to deal with the attendant.

I just got a Discover card

And every station around here now has that you must prepay...i pay via CC anyhow. And there are a few restaurants around here too that require a certain amount for CC use. One is a pizza shop that has a $10 min.

I heard some gas station made this one guy charge $40 on his debit card before he pumped. If he only got $32 of gas he got ripped for $8. Whats with gas stations these days?
