The third picture doesn't line up with the first - the rings are in a different patter. The skin would have to tear if you pulled it that taut.... wouldn't it?

They put temporary rings in when they do the peircings.

Back skin is very tough- some religious fanatics in mexico had big rings put in their packs and pulled a car.
