In the words of the immortal George Carlin, "Alright, shut it down Bruno". I can't believe you'd beat him up over Lord of the Rings. There are bigger things in life then what Hollywood wants to gouge us with. And honestly I can't even see how he could have spoiled the whole movie in the 15 words that would display in the title of a post! I read the book for the Two Towers before watching the moving and yeah I knew what was supposed to happen, but they changed a lot from the book to the movie. The book actually goes further than the movie did. I still liked it and despite knowing what happens I still enjoyed the movie enough to watch it twice. But anyway thats me. Maybe you guys are so freaking stoked you'd have to kill someone or physically beat them for ruining a movie. Sounds like macho bs to me.
No one likes their movie spoiled. Would you like it if someone told you what happened in a movie before you saw it and it was one of those movies that people have been waiting a year to watch? I think you'd be pissed too. Who cares about how a certain event in the movie happened, who was involved, etc. The fact that you told it is the problem. That person will go into the theater, expecting a part of the movie to show up and when it does, it'll have no element of surprise. You obviously see this in black and white because you're not the one who had to deal with someone else that ruined a part of the movie.
Here's an example. In Episode 1, someone at school yelled out "Qui Gon Jin<sp?> dies!". Now, we don't know who killed him, why he died, and how he died. Should we be pissed? YES. If we now apply your logic, we shouldn't be mad at that guy because he didn't technically ruin it for us. He simply told us what had happened but didn't elaborate it in detail.
