I bought hood supports for my car 2 years ago. I bough a set at partsamerica with lifetime warranty. The thing went bad last year. I was so excited of finally taking advantage of a warranty in something that I bought. Now the thing goes bad AGAIN. I go to the store and they tell me the part now only has 1 year warranty, so I'm out of luck. wtf??

is partsamerica the manufacturer? if not, you may want to contact them.

do you have a copy of the reciept or anything that states the lifetime warranty?

It could be that the warranty on the replacement part is one year. Sometimes they're tricky about things like that.

I was doing pretty well with batteries from KMart. Used to get a free replacement every year, when I didn't lose my receipts. Now most of them are gone so I don't see that happening again, but, as said above, it sounds like the replacement for the replacement has a lesser warranty. That isn't uncommon, it's to preven folks from using them in the wrong application and/or taking advantage of their cheap prices.

Still sucks. Good luck.
